Back when FK was still on the air, an agent friend got permission from my agent to send a spec script to the show. This is it. It's never seen the light of day except for being read by Parriott. The agent mailed on Tuesday and Parriott called him two days later, on that Thursday. He liked the script but he needed Canadian writers. This was also when the characters changed. Frustrating, but exciting. Good memories. It was registered with WGA West, and copyrighted in 1995. Please enjoy.

Basic story is trying to find a missing child with a child killer on the loose. Flashback is Oxford University, 1830.

Head on over to the YouTube channel Movie Nights to check out a snarky yet thoughtful four part video review of Forever Knight.

There's so much to enjoy, whether it's commentary on Nick's early 90s fashion, Captain Reese's never-ending fight with the station's watercolor, and the fact that the show loved playing the 'Let's kill Natalie's close friends and family" card. There's something for everyone. I personally LOVE that the opening title card has a drawing of Natalie's season 1 heart windbreaker. It's been immortalized for posterity now.

Every time I internally gripe that Forever Knight doesn't get the appreciation it deserves, something comes along that pleasantly surprises me. IndieWire, noted film and television news and criticism site, has included Forever Knight in it's '24 Most Important Vampire TV Shows Ever'.

Not only does it get ranked #6 but the write up that accompanies it is filled with praise. It laments the lack of streaming availability, praises actor chemistry, and legit shout outs the truly "badass" opening credits sequence. It's nothing we didn't already know, but it's nice to see it in the mainstream media.

So, I've been trawling the old, defunct FK comms over on LJ, and at fk_icons I found a few (wait for it) icons. Of the ones that were posted, these were the ones that don't give a broken image error.

I decided to "rescue" them by gathering them into a nice, neat little folder under my Photobucket account. Credit has been given to the appropriate icon-creators, with my little notes tacked on & each creator of multiple icons has their own subfolder. There's a grand total of 82 83 icons in the fk_icons folder.

I'm going to continue checking the old comms to see if there's anything else worth "bringing over." Which reminds me...

fkficfest, the annual Forever Knight (1992-1996) ficathon game, is open for sign-ups until June 14. Come one, come all! Celebrate our remarkable "vampire homicide cop" show and the astonishing fandom of which you're a part!

This is our sixth annual game, so you probably know the drill. (Complete 2015 rules, instructions and examples.) We've added one twist: In the event of 8 or fewer exchange sign-ups, we'll throw open the gates with a classic FKFic-L-style "challenge" game.

06/14: Exchange sign-ups close at noon Pacific Time.
06/15: Exchange assignments are emailed or the challenge prompt is re-posted.

Before there was 'Twilight', before there was a 'Vampire Diaries', 'Moonlight', and 'Angel'; there was 'Forever Knight'. It has been over 17 years since the show was canceled, and it still has a place in the minds and hearts of the fans even today. For me, Nicholas Knight's eternal struggle between his lingering humanity and his vampiric nature; and his quest for redemption is as relevant, and enthralling as it was all those years ago. This picspam is an attempt to bring this beloved cult series into the 21st century. When I imagine the characters (despite canon killing a good portion of these characters off) living in present day Toronto or aboard in some far away land--I admittedly think of the Dreamcast instead of the orignal cast.
